I CAN SEE YOUR SILHOUETTE

I can see your silhouette in the moonbeams on the ocean.

Could not believe my reverie, you reminded me of my ex.
A question popped in my head. Suppose I ask her out?
Notice how I approach her to relinquish my doubt.

She came to shore. As I waited for her to come near.
Early in the night, just after sunset, with a little fear,
Endearing the chance to have this beauty near,

Yearning, trembling, I ask her out to dinner.
Over dinner we talked about going dancing.
Under the stars and moon, we danced till midnight.
Racing, as my heartbeat was, I ask her to share time.

She agreed to share a few days with me.
It was a delicate situation for her and me you see,
Learning we came from different fabric styles.
Her man of the cloth is a priest, mine: a pastor.
Only we did`t let that stand in our way of having fun.
Under the circumstance, we cherished each moment.
Every cloud has a silver lining, and faith has a horizon.
To have fun with cupid busting balloon with arrows,
The very thought of it sends butterflies fluttering in me.
Everywhere would be paradise if this could be forever.
