'The First Kiss of Love'

Away with your fictions of flimsy romance,
Those tissues of falsehood which folly has wove,
Give me the wild beam of the soul-breathing glance,
Or the rapture which dwells on the first kiss of love.

She waives her right to love lessons told,
For love letters exchanged in traditional ways,
Casting shadows on this world in a haze, for
That expectant first kiss one day to unfold.

May it's gentle touch bring the warmth of your breath,
Broadcasting endings with each passing moment,
That quintessential moment of love, and life; and yet!
Encapsulating feelings of a hearts inhaling fragrance.

As love awakens to moments of bliss,
Unfolding petals of a delicate rose touched by mornings rain,
To expose her inner soul this lovers lasting kiss,
A lovers folly yet untouched, by a naked lovers pain.

Captivating moments of youth's perfected dreams,
Her lovers legerdemain, in false mistaken love for lust,
Parting swiftly having conquered, to what now seems,
A young girls fears, her broken heart, a young love crushed.

The first verse is by courtesy of; Lord Byron and commencing with;
'Away with your fictions of flimsy romance'
