America's Darling

When I was born they named me Phoebe Ann.
I could out-shoot, out-maneuver any man.
Known as Annie, I'll go far,
America's darling shooting star.
Can I out-shoot Frank E Butler? Yes I can!

I am only five feet tall and quite a catch;
I will join with Buffalo Bill and stay a patch.
In the Spanish American war
they won't let me shoot no more
but those Spaniards against me would meet their match!

I shot the ashes from the Kaiser's smoke.
I should have shot the Kaiser then, no joke.
I'd have prevented World War 1
where the Kaiser had too much fun;
he really was a nasty kind of bloke!
