Straying Feet

At times in life I may have lost my way;
it helped if then my steps I could retrace,
discover any wrong turns which I’d made,
fix up things broken and, if needs, replace.
If hearts were hurting through some deed of mine,
repair all damage, then that soul embrace,
remembering it may not all be fine
depending largely on the hurt one’s grace.
Once all is well, I may resume my path,
forgiven sin forgot without a trace;
well informed that my feet will sometimes stray
until I meet my Father, face to face.
