Tapestry of Me
My life woven in changing pathways crooked then straight
Threads of loneliness, abuse, rejection and depression

Miracles overcoming walking out of darkness into the light
Tapestry of a broken heart mended beating to a renewed life
Splashes of brilliant colors, awesome joyous wonders

Intertwined strings of mind, body, heart and soul
Healed of years of disappointments and pain
Alone, content, at peace from a seed of faith planted
Influenced by my dear grandmother still remain

A yearning missionary heart as a child
Finding fulfillment in health aide care-giving
Bringing gifts of sunshine and joy to the elderly in need

My tapestry dream of sharing poetry complete
Sharing with my friends at the starlite cafe is oh so sweet

I am Joyful Sunrise, I am blessed indeed!
