Breaking the Silence
Replaced is the bad taste you left in my mouth.
As I watch from my window the weeping sky.
Faced with a new day I feel healthy and alive,
I close my tired eyes and sigh.
Devoured I was empowered to move ahead ~
Leaving you behind with agony in your mind.
Was it something you said?
That led me down this pain free path...
Disregarded were the thoughts that entered my mind.
Inclined to make a move and improve.
I quickly removed you from my life.
Arriving safely was my destination~
Determination gave me wings to fly.
I had been blind forced to lie~
Denied the right to speak.
My eyes now streaked with tears ~ remembering
How cruel some people can be!
I lived between heaven and hell.
But you had nothing on me.
I knew I would awaken and finally see~
You couldn't hold me back and now I walk free.
I healed I moved on~
Found a good man to love me.
I now realize how sweet life can be.
Breaking the Silence.
