I'm sorry, love,
I really didn't know
the cruel ordeal
through which you'd have to go.

I can't believe that you should suffer, dear;
such a tiny infant
...they didn't make that clear.

How ignorant and arrogant I've been.
If I had known,
I'd not have been so keen.

Oh sweetest wife,
I really had no clue.
How on earth
will I ever make up to you?

No, neither beauty nor grace
from you was stolen...
you look so gorgeous
with your belly swollen.

If only I could take my share of pain...
do we really need to take this road again?
