Wisdom

'TRUTH is spoke by fools,' the donkey brays,
'IS that not men's target? To elicit praise?
PRECIOUS things are a problem, not a blessing
AND honour is no virtue; but distressing'

DIVINE wisdom spoke from the mouth of a child,
'TOO many untruths from an ass,' he smiled
'RICH men are they who sell all their assets,
A gift to the needy and with no regrets.

PEARL of great wisdom I offer you, Mule.
FOR false truths you spoke, I dub thee the fool.
CARNAL desires are man's great temptation.
SWINE need no pearls for their own adoration!'
