Almost Close Enough
At night, she is a bright lit star sparkling in my sky,|
almost close enough to reach, still, a bit too high.
Often, her face shows on the moon hanging very low,
I lean in to kiss her, then, she has to go.
I see her eyes in rainbows helping colors glow,
out of everyone, I'm the only one she shows.
She whispers in the wind when it rustles through the trees,
sending me sweet nothings on natures' gentle breeze.
In the spring her aroma comes floating through the air,
as I smell her scent it makes me see I care.
Sometimes, in my dreams she is right before my eyes,
it's then, I know our love cannot be a lie.
Never have I held her, nor tasted a precious kiss,
yet, even if a ghost all those things I gladly miss.
They say a love is true when it lives inside ones' soul,
without a single touch it can make a person whole.
