Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Parting

Was ever a farewell spoken
that a tear it did not bring,
did never a lovers heart cry
as a cherished one took wing.

When, the last time the world stood still,
the valleys turned indigo blue,
without a doubt, the day you left
forsaking a heart so true.

Never look back on our parting,
for surely thou turneth to stone,
take thee a memory, nothing more
for thy deed thou may never atone.
