Merry Christmas, Darling!
I watch as tree lights twinkle
my thoughts on only you
missing tender kisses
shared between us two

Craving your sweet romance
warmness of your touch
hurry home for Christmas
I'm missing you so much

On table is your picture
dressed in uniform
all notes 'n cards you've sent me
I hug the whole night long

Stockings hang on mantle
have special gifts inside
are wrapped with pretty paper
to show my love and pride

Watching tree lights twinkle
with thoughts on only you
outside the snow is falling
leaves me feeling blue

At night I drift to slumber
finally fall asleep
behind closed lids of sadness
I reach to touch our dreams

Where we are free of heartache
this war 'n worldly woes
and dance our waltz in twilight
'neath the mistletoe

I think of you each morning
when sunlight opens eyes
and again each evening
while gazing at night skies

My only wish this Christmas
is to have you home with me
exchanging gifts of romance
'neath lighted tree

You're miles away in distance
on foreign lands afar
but honey, won't be long now
I believe it deep inside

Watching tree lights twinkle
my love forever true
Merry Christmas, Darling
heart waits for only you
