That which melts the heart
Oh little ball so furry white!|
For what reason do you come?
To bring frenzy to my days!
I dare not hold you close to my face,
Lest the warmth and softness of you
Should melt the chill from my heart
That I’ve built up for so long
Shunning that dreaded love thing
that brings such joy, then rips you apart
Who sent you, dark eyed fellow?
Try to charm me with that sweet face?!
Oh, don’t wag your snippet tail at me!
There’s no room in the inn of my heart
Sigh! I’ll let you lay here by the fire til day
Then, perhaps you’ll simply go away?
Oh who am I fooling! I’m not puppy proof
already we've formed a lasting bond
You had me at the first “woof woof!”
