Be Still and Know

When the night is long and light seems far
Be still and know that I am God.
When the road is hard and peace not found
Be still and know that I am God.

I have known you from your conception
You are mine, I will not leave you.
I loved you from your first crying breath
You are mine, I will not leave you.

When trials plague like the lion's den
I'll send my angels to hold you.
When hosts of evil move against you
I'll send my angels to hold you.

And now as you heal remember this
I am he who will sustain you.
You are mine, I will not leave you.
Be still and know that I am God.

For my beautiful friend Jennifer who with her infant son was in a 40-car accident in Detroit earlier this month. I love you and am thankful for God's loving hand protecting you. I am praying for your recovery.
