Get Rid Of The Advertisements

The silent Bell

Like the ringing of a bell
On an approaching train
I have passed

Carrying with me
A blast of cold and
Wet air

The Smell of Diesel
And the promise
Of change

The chance to board
To travel to
A new destination

Like a bell I started small
Ringing louder until
You could not ignore me

My doors open
Standing first in line
You hesitated

While others boarded
You waited in
Uncertainty

So short a time
Yet when the doors closed
You seemed startled

Once more the bell
Chimed out my
Intentions

Fading fast amid
The thunder of
My departure

Like a bell my cries
Drifted to silence
As I continue my journey

Alone
