Thinking Of You

1.

Where a woman's in love the world's with flowers;
She provides weapons for her knight to fight
For romance when his lance is lost long hours.
Woe to the knight when his lady in spite
Hands him a broken spear since love has flown.
Dear Lady I take your gift for I'm weak,
My smile, my gentleness, all that I own
Cannot combat where the world through wars gains seek.
Dear Lady I take your gift that love proves,
And feel words like fingers through your long hair
In each poem and with respect make pure moves
Wanting ideas rising in your mind to dare.
Dear Lady I take your gift, my heart fights
In words now more able to stave off knights.

2.

Stargazer, Stargazer, see tonight's sky?
If you look for guidance you'll surely sigh.
Why is the moon and Venus close tonight?
You need no longer wonder at the sight.
Stargazer, Stargazer, soon I'll be your husband;
I'm the moon that beckons to you Venus.
We have been a pair since stars shone on land,
To miss you is no longer my focus.
Stargazer, Stargazer, why is the moon golden?
Why is the old moon in the new moon's arms?
It's from your hair the golden is stolen,
Oh how I wish to hold you in my arms!
Oh is love gaining more than one deserves?
Oh yes! But can't we miss the banquet it serves!

3.

It is in Autumn years you see my youth,
No daughters their growing up to treasure;
In you I see a little girl who in truth
Delights as falling leaves give Autumn's pleasure.
A rare sweet woman holds her youth as you,
In voice, in form, in thought and in your eyes
But I will treasure one moment, it's true
Long in my mind much as a father sighs!
When first we met as lovers in the moonlight
You danced as a little girl in circles;
My loss, my gain flooded over me that night
Fulfilling something missing - girls are miracles!
Oh is love gaining more than one deserves?
Oh yes! But can't we miss the banquet it serves!

4.

Will you forget the wonderful weeks
Where we gardened love under the night sky's fold,
Burying our past so it no longer speaks,
Covering it with blossoms instead of mould?
Oh the blossoms were many and varied
And as beautiful as words we had spoken
At last face to face not through wires carried;
We had forgotten the past battered and broken.
Yet there are ghosts - losing power every day -
That visit and still try to disrupt us.
Now, the part the two wonderful weeks play
Is to give us strength and keep our love in focus.
Oh is love gaining more than one deserves?
Oh yes! But can't we miss the banquet it serves!

5. Spirited Away By Love

How warm the day; I walked from bank to bank
Across the shallow creek to fill my mind
Till I a princess spied, but my heart sank
For this phantom to my male form seemed blind.
I threw her white rose petals for her hair
But guessing her name 'The Princess Of Love'
Only, brought her to catch sight of me;
Bade me follow into her world above.
She showed me her love garden of pleasure;
Growing pleasured I was locked in love;
We danced, we sang and we laughed in love's tour
As one spirit, one phantom, one love dove.
Ten thousand miles apart can't stop poetry
Linking us in spirit romantically.

6. The Spirit Of Love

Her love touches the green earth and hence me
With living flame with her wand of wild spells;
Oh she puts aside fame for now to be
Madcap dancing, loving me amid our yells.
Fleet as feet of shadows on the green turf
With music growing wilder, our bodies
Tortured by pleasured agony - thoughts of worth
Of quieter times whispering can't but freeze.
My love touches the green earth and hence her
With a clear whisper through the night's wide sky;
Oh I'd put aside fame for a murmur
With dream kisses to and from my butterfly.
Ten thousand miles apart can't stop poetry
Linking us in spirit romantically.

7. Butterfly Girl

My butterfly girl from Arizona
As the moon and Venus zoom in our lives,
A new sign figures in Australia
Telling of your wondrous downunder vibes.
My butterfly girl, so one with nature,
As one did alight on your hand one day;
Amazed was I as one flew with favour
Close over my blessed head as though to say
Your butterfly girl is thinking of you!
To cement in my mind our link of love,
Thousands upon thousands of butterflies flew,
Confirming our bond being from above.
Can't help imagining being with you
For our spirits entwine, wing soft and true.

Being together for two weeks in three years
Is not ideal in loving, in living
But quality does count and our time nears
When of being together full time, we'll sing!

8.

Oh what beautiful things your heart treasures:
Tiny sparrows hopping past your window
With seeds of grass that the ant too wants - measures
To carry home through the forest grass to stow.
Though I should sit on your high balcony
With views of sunsets and humble ground things
Using man-made ink as spirits will me,
Chiefly yours, to write of love - ours with wings;
I would write in vain without a sweet kiss,
Without a smile, a hug, a walk at night
In moonlight, telling each other our bliss,
As the basis, for then love lacks delight.
Being together's like nothing around;
Oh there's nothing like togetherness sound!

9.

I want to do nothing with you tonight;
That came out wrong but you know what I mean.
I feel like doing nothing much tonight;
I want to do it with you - know what I mean?
I can do nothing and I want to share;
Doing nothing is no fun on your own.
Know you don't mind when for nothing I care;
Oh that came out wrong - that you know you've shown.
Being able to do nothing's an art,
Oh with you it is happiness on Earth;
Sit on my lap, learn nothing by heart;
That came out wrong - let's to nothing give birth.
Being together's like nothing there is,
Oh there is nothing like together bliss!

10.

Being with your spirit the sky's not grey,
Threatening rain is wary of spoiling,
Flowers fear not the wind nor the sun's foray;
Nature and you are one - birds are singing!
Sprinkling rain stops, the sun comes out warm,
Birds sing louder, there is movement all around;
Your spirit has not wavered, I am calm,
Oh not even thunder could make me frown.
In a touch of blue sky I feel your kiss,
In a sprinkle of rain there's joy of tears,
Your strength's in the flowers - in birds' song, bliss.
My love, being with you in body nears!
Being one in body beats in spirit;
In spirit, nothing but body beats it!

Being together for two weeks in three years
Is not ideal in loving, in living
But quality does count and our time nears
When of being together full time, we'll sing!

11.

As a young man there was a toast I made;
Praps a plea but more a prophesy,
A toast for perfect lovers I'd parade,
But it eluded me 'til you kissed me.
I disregarded the old toast for one new
Because it proved so out of reach of men.
Divorced such as I, only very few
Wouldn't see my new toast as failure again.
I toast to our love which as wine improves
(Out of the question my past says to me)
With you dear, love is one of the sweetest loves -
We pick our own grapes very carefully.
By joining our two heart-loves together
We ensure love is all one flavour.

12.

Lovers should love while love is all in flower
For time is flying fast, time's relentless;
Today's blooms with scent that fills love's bower,
Tomorrow to preserve well, one must press.
Begin a kiss and the kiss nears its ending?
Embrace knowing one must release quite soon?
Smile as though the smile ends, deep in your thinking?
This must not be our musing nor our tune.
Let's kiss as though there's no tomorrow,
Embrace dwelling on every sensation,
Smile a smile as though we wipe all sorrow
Giving each moment most satisfaction!
So is poetry how we our flowers press?
Better that it is read as we undress!

There was this tall backpacker from London
Staying in the Blue Parrot in Sydney
Whom the hot girls said looked quite like James Dean
But it was a book that he would produce
And quote from that mainly won them over -
That 'the sweet sauces of love add delight' -
A misquote but near enough as he licked
Juiced fingers from his McDonald's burger
Then turned to drawings such as page sixteen.
The girls would tease him while watching TV
Whenever there appeared something which called
For 'the sweet sauces of love add delight.'
The smiles that he gained were worth the mocking
And the other guys saw to it that his book went missing.

Add delight.
Travel across the world from the heart of one city to the heart of another.
Add delight everyone wants before you.
