Get Rid Of The Advertisements

God's Tattoo

An innocent, abused, confused,
Her spirit’s radiance diffused
Through soot-stained secrets; self-accused,
Judged, sentenced to persistent fear

Deception’s path, continuous,
Denial… drugs, promiscuous,
Love lost amidst her dalliance,
Pain’s elasticity of shear

A decade escalated ‘til
That crash which left her soul-struck; still…
By grace she rose, fire-forged, cool steel,
Transformed---a woman, true, sincere.

The lesson learned, the compass true,
A grateful phoenix born anew,
Forgiveness inked as God’s tattoo.
