Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A Bloom

A garnished eccentricity
harboring back to a bygone age,
a single bloom lovingly placed
in a jacket lapel.

A proud moment of a father
walking his daughter down the aisle
to the new love in her life
as her mother stands with silent tears.

Years pass quickly
and the wilting bloom remains
in the jacket lapel
never to be replaced.

New life greets a new day,
there is stardust in her father’s eyes
as he watches someone steal her heart
with a bloom in his lapel.
