Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Do We Have the Right Attitude?'

A homeless man sat by the church door one day
watching the people when they came that way,
some went inside the church so they could pray
but to him they didn't have anything to say.

Some looked at him with contempt in their eyes
letting their religion be a blinding disguise,
did they think God could not see hypercritical lies
not knowing He is amazingly wise?

If a heart was in tune with God's righteous love,
filled with forgiveness like our Father above,
they would know this man is not unworthy of,
forgiveness as they are so intolerant of .

Would Jesus leave him outside in the cold
do we remember Bible stories we were told,
how he healed the lame, sick, and was bold,
caring for all not only those inside the fold?

As we sit upon pews so so comfy and warm,
are we forsaking those out in the storm,
are our prayers sincere, are they the norm,
or just words said in meaningless form?

As Christians let's all examine our hearts today,
inviting the true loving Spirit come in to stay,
remembering those in need as we set and pray,
inviting the lost inside that come our way.
