FINGER PAINTED LEAVES

FINGER PAINTED LEAVES

Maples stand by fully clothed
With their vibrant finger painted leaves
That covers their chilled trunk and limbs
As we watch them slowly floating
Through the air alighting
Upon the green ground below!
Raked leaf piles stand ready
For children to run and jump into them
Disappearing into their soft feather like cushion.
Magnificent in their bounty of colors like a
Rainbow spreading joy to all
That looks upon them as their clothed limbs slowly,
Disrobe leaving them barren for
Winter's dormant stage!
