A Short Story(In Rhyme)You Just Make Do

This story in verse is gospel truth as I tell it to you today
How my grand parents as newly weds
Prepared for Christmas Day

Grandpa cut down a big fir tree
That he worked so hard to do
In the meadowland behind their home
Where many fir trees grew

Grandma prepared a rabbit
A meal just enough for two
If any morsel was left over
The next day she'd then make rabbit stew

Grandpa drug into the home
That big ol tree
But alas dear grandma had a sad, sad look

'We have nothing to hang the one and only bulb we have she said
Grandpa reached into his fishing box
And produced a fishing hook

Now you get the drift of what I'm telling you, I know
Tis quite a tale, but true
Moral being you use what you have in life
Sometimes you just make do
