Falling Down

(A collaboration from some time ago)

The night closes in with a deep purple shade
Black clouds surround me as light starts to fade
Alone with my thoughts I now feel the pain
I think I am falling down again.

And through the darkness my enemy, despair
Returns with his gloom as I breathe the night air
It seems all is lost, there is nothing to gain
I think I am falling down again.

But I am now with you, through darkest night
And despair shall not have his hour of delight
My love will vanquish all sorrow and pain
And my arms will stop you from falling again.

Together my love, we shall persevere
I will always be with you, no need to fear
Through every maelstrom, wind and rain
I will never let you fall down again.
