For Our Starlite Rose

Sweet spring arrives, her talents to employ.
Joy fills this ancient heart with purest bliss...
is there enough to fill a million vases?
Daisies, violets, sweetpeas make their stand
and Mr. Bee on nectar butter sups.
Butterflies gold, cornflowers baby blue
too, we dance and skip here...it's so much fun,
sun beaming down, which we in winter missed.
Kissed by the warmth, blossom of plum and peach,
each fragrant bloom and poppies, waving, yawning.
Morning in spring...oh look! A butterfly!
By and by we'll hear the patter of little feet...
sweet lambs and foals and calves, to name a few.
Dew fades soon enough, as we the season greet.
