Get Rid Of The Advertisements

To Hate With You Again

Played with me just like a cat-
catching and letting go.
Cheshire cat, complete with grin,
liked killing ever-slow.

Mounted me and hung me up
for all the world to see.
Another trophy on the wall.
A conquest. VICTORY!

I crawled away to lick my wounds
and resurface my pride
That mousy girl came to unleash
the lioness inside.

Now here you are, ego in tow,
as you have been before.
You're standing there and smugly think,
'She'll open up that door.'

But there is no chance in hell nor dream
I'll ever let you in.
I've learned to love myself too much
to hate with you again.
