Honeysuckle Flavors

There held within the subtle mist
So floating o'er the summer grass,
She gently skims the petal's edge,
Love's soft caress from mem'ries past.

So floating o'er the summer grass,
Magnolia blossoms scent the breeze,
And honeysuckle flavors fill
The soul with beauties such as these.

She gently skims the petal's edge
With rhapsodies of bygone days,
Harmonics lingering in that space
Within the heart where lost love stays.

Love's soft caress from mem'ries past
Sings sweet but can't this anguish soothe,
Yet God's design rests unfulfilled;
Swing wide life's door and live the truth.
