I Miss You Mom

Oh my mom God how I miss you I miss the scent of your perfume
The way you use to give that little smile to Sam when she jumped up on your lap
Wanting to be pet as you watched “Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy sitting in your lazy boy
With blanket covering your legs. I don’t care if this has a rhyme or not I just want to say how I feel
I sit here alone as my younger brother text me saying that he misses mom
In reply I answer that I doing a poem about her as we speak as my tears fall on the keyboard
I just wanted to say something bout her she was my life upon life’s greatest mom’s
And after work tomorrow I’m going to go to the mausoleum and sit and talk to her for a while
