Star of Stars

Twinkle gaily, mighty star;
how wonderfully bright you are.

Heralding Messiah's birth,
a Saviour sent for all this earth.

They came by camel from afar,
Melchior, Gaspar , Balthasar.
Precious gifts they brought to bless
the babe who'd save us from our mess.

This star their guide, their reference point;
with frankincense His brow anoint.

O'er humble shed it came to rest,
a virgin mother...who'd have guessed?

Each year, no matter where we are;
remembering His natal star.
