An Intricate Departure
It's accepted to occasionally feel nonsensical,
getting away from the norm feeds the mind.
If I'm locked into the need to always be logical
my writing future would be in a bind.
If the surface of my words don't tell you
the tale that you're looking for, perhaps,
you might find a twist between a line or two,
poems don't come with gratuitous road maps.
Writing about love and its ultimate grandeur
works for many but it's axiom limits their game.
Occasionally write about the unexpected sights of a voyeur,
then the premise won't feel exactly the same.
Who the hell am I do be dispensing advice?
Well, I'm nobody special, just a writer looking to help.
Much of what I read these days is logical and nice,
I'd like to see an intricate departure, making me yelp.
I write what I feel at the moment I feel it,
that riddle is evident when you see my pen name.
If you're confused, email me, I'll reveal it,
postulation keeps us in this word slaughtering game.
