Second Chances

Left alone in this world with no one to call me his own
when I met a lonely and yet still such a vivacious man
'Twas a slow evolutionary process but it was worth it
A loving relationship began, I was falling in love again

In all good conscience I must say we've been blessed
Imagine a couple meeting and given a second chance
Hesitant, at first, to succumb to even the thought of it
Nurturing another's soul seems to encourage romance

We have become inseparable, he's truly a sweetheart
Whether sitting on a blanket to watch a beautiful sunset
or even taking a mere stroll to the local food market
There is such a peace and richness in everything we do
ever since the day we met!
