The Promise

Our hope lies in that truth, nurturing faith.
Lord, teach me to discern the path to take.
Has the message of salvation spread abroad,
written across the sky...for goodness sake?
The love which fashioned all of God's creation,
promise of eternity in season,
of butterflies, emerging from cocoons,
resurrection, always sufficient reason.
Not limited to knowledge born of men,
in fact, no limitations here at all.
Books broaden knowledge bases in their place,
alone, (as Humpty Dumpty), cold facts fall.
But note the love of God writ in a cloud,
in gurgling streams hear angel choirs sing praise.
Every tiny atom comes to life anew,
leaf, bud and feather celebrate spring days.
In Him we trust, this no mere superstition.
Springtime reflects His promise in fruition.
