Moon Rose

~~~
Strolling through gardens
of roses
so fair
thoughts drifting
sweet essence
enchanting the air
The colours
the hues
all pleasing to eye
Each petal a picture
make breathing
a sigh
~
A trickle of water
to pool
crystal clear
The frolic
of birds
with nothing to fear
That old country bridge
o'er meandering brook
'neath flowering tree
finds you
lost
in a book
~
My silent approach
brings sparkle to eyes
Lips gently curl
in pleasant
surprise
Placed
in your hand
knelt down at your side
I've offered the moon
~
Forever
~
A Rose to my eyes
~~~
~~
~

my best guess for the word is
'country'
