Silence Speaks

I weep for the willow standing tall
Upon the hillside through wind and all
It's perched quietly in the rain and sleet
As the bark of its body is steadily beat

I mourn for its pain for I feel it too
Alone and battered but making it through
Relentless wind strips its branches bare
No remorse, perhaps it does not care

Weeping willow please weep no more
Soon the storm will reach the shore
Hillside will be calm once again
Your scars will tell where you've been

Speak to me softly so I will hear
That in my heart you have no fear
The time will come that darkness falls
And I will know it's you who calls

Speak my name upon a ragging wind
Standing strong as you defend
The place you belong upon that hill
With courage, faith, love, and will

All Stars
Phrase: speak to me softly
