Promise and Prayer

In the pastel shades of a gentle sunset,
a memory lingers somewhere between
a wash of pale rose and grey blue.

~

Velvet roses in her bridal bouquet,
his eyes the grey blue of a winter sea.
Yet dreams remain even in the difference
between their years and scattered tears

~

Yesterday's words, a promise and prayer,
till death do us part and for all eternity,
set with the sun and rise on the moon.

Phases used:

'scattered tears'

'a memory lingers'

'dreams remain'

'yesterday's words'
