Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Even Now

Twas many years ago that we met
Nothing unusual about it
Just a man and a women with open hearts.
Even now I still remember
And will never forget.

We reached out with friendship to each other
Within our circle of friends.
The steps we took were tentative at first.
But in time love touched our hearts.
You asked me to be your bride
So our hearts were joined as one
Making a circle of love without end.

Over the years our circle of love
Expanded to include three sons
Who brought us much joy and happiness
Watching them grow and mature
Becoming men who had much love to give
As they brought into our circle Wives
And children whose love blessed even more.

Your foundation of love began the day you were born
With the model your parents and siblings shared
Of give and take with generosity of open heart and hand
So you grew from child to man.

I remember the wonderful man you were
Always tender and kind whose love
Enriched our lives as husband and father.
Though shy you had a tender heart
Which blossomed through the love
Of wife and children with much to give.

One never knows why one is stricken in their prime
And the suffering that comes
But you pressed on with the struggle to over come
And your example of bravery and will to carry on
Motivated others to not give up when trials come their way.

Even now I remember the day God took your hand
And transported you to your eternal home.
We were gathered around you hospital bed
When you breathed your last breath
Leaving us brokenhearted and bereft
As we shed anguished tears
Wondering how we could carry on alone
Now that you were gone..

Many years have passed since you departed
And we were left brokenhearted
With grief seeming too hard to bear
But God took us by the hand and lead us on.
Though we never forgot you
And our lives were never the same
we did have a full life
Always remembering your part in it.

This year our beloved son, James Timothy Smith,
Came home to be with God and His angels.
Now we grieve for him as we did you
And our lives won't be the same without him.
I know you met him with open arms at the pearly gates
Welcoming him home to be with you and other loved ones
Praising God around His throne.

So, we honor you this 20th anniversary
Of your passing from earthly confines
To your heavenly home
Where no pain and sorrow you will find.
So, beloved we remember and honor you
With Anticipation of a sweet reunion some sweet day
To live forever in our eternal home.
