Grand Belle

She'll fix you with that frosty stare, that makes you want to cry
Then flash a neighborly little smile, and never blink an eye
I talk with her of common things, quaint things she knows about
Her famous berry pie, her furry feline pet; does she hear, I doubt
Since grandmother is deaf, words take flight in boisterous shout
It's rather rough to converse this way, but I love this grand old belle
So imagine my surprise when she looks me in the eye and yells

It's criminal the prices charged
If I want my b--bs enlarged
