Glowing Beauty

Painted leaves fall gently,
Dancing in the autumn breeze.
What a lovely time of year it is
For September trees.

The crimson of stately maples
Brilliant in the sunshine.
The gold of elms and aspens
Have outdone themselves this time.

Memories of autumn are treasured.
I'm sharing the magic at summers end.
God's beautiful colors of autumn
To enjoy once again.

The lane is aglow with brilliance.
Whimsical pumpkins ripen
Amongst fields of gold flowers.
If Mama were here,
She'd be in her precious garden
Tending the roses for hours.

In my heart it remains forever autumn,
The season of which I'm most fond.
They are leaving, The geese are gathering
Landing gracefully on a golden pond.
