There She Was

There she was audible enough to catch even my age old deafening ears. Had the pizza not been delivered this night I most likely would never have seen nor heard her. But there she was on the side of the apartment complex. I simply had to feed her. Going inside after paying for the delivery I hurriedly grabbed a bowl of water and placed some of our cats food in a dish and ran both outside to this young adult feline. I had seen much prettier Calicos, but there was something about this one that just tugged at my heartstrings. As I drew the blinds that night (and a very cold late October one it was too) There she was right at my window peering in and her meows pleading to bring her inside. I did so. She seemed so content despite that we have a small dog and a male cat (Neutered) that were quite interested in this creature who was invading their domain. It has been 2 weeks now and none of the ads I placed were answered for this lost cat. 'Gracie' is quite content and although I wasn't prepared to take in another stray animal ............There she was............. and right here she can stay..
