Nightsong

A nightsong falls cool-soft, new snow
In slow descent, against dark skies
I look up, watch from here, below
Let swirling patterns hypnotize
Whisper - pianissimo
As though lost angels harmonize.

A nightsong falls cool-soft, new snow
In slow descent, against dark skies
A long crescendo, steady slow
Strains of music slowly rise
Dreams of joy, of long ago
A nightsong falls, cool-soft, new snow.
