Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Alone

Why did I hear your name
on the wind?
How is it your shadow
shadowed me?

The flash of your eyes chills
my essence
though I'm aware that
I'm quite alone.

Why do I taste the nectar
of your lips?
How is it my fingertips still
tingle, alive?

The aroma of your scent
engulfs my aura
and yet I am still very
much alone.

Why do I shudder under the
weight of passion?
How is it your side of the bed
remains warm?

The love I harbor for you has not
abated at all,
though you've chosen to leave
me all alone.

Why is it that within my broken heart
I still find you
lurking in the deepest shadows of
my dark desires?

It must be some undercurrent of
unwavering belief
you'll return, for you also could not
bear being alone.
