I Wonder

I Wonder

Of God's painted skies
And breezes of winter's sighs
I painted today
In words of azure, scented
By pine shivers, not tethered.

I laid my pen upon my lined canvas and longed to capture a whisper, one sigh caught upon the breeze, almost as much as I longed to join its journey, to soar across such purity of sky, such blue innocence. I wondered if my words, my colors, could truly speak of its beauty... this rare day, a gift of perfection, one to be remembered... untainted.
