Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Soloist

Singing in my mind,
in tune and on pitch,
assures that I'm the
only one to hear it.

When the lyrics sung are
so memorably rich
this cranial concert
embosses my spirit.

Internal notes dancing
in my portal eyes
give a hint of the joyance
and the ease.

Into my performance no
interloper pries
with a purpose to critique
or appease.

The boards of the stage
know not my feet
and my breath never
touches that mike.

Internal arias, never
misconstrued as retreat,
ensure I am duly warmed
by the music I like.
