I Am a Grandparent
I Am a Grandparent

To those who have become new grandparents,
And to those who are already grandparents,
Your hearts are filled with euphoria;
Oh what a feeling sublime
When you cradle that newborn in your arm
For the very first time.

They are only lent to us for awhile.
You take a vow to protect them from all harm.
They are a blessing from God up above;

We must be watchword as we teach them,
Spurred by the scriptures,
about a God filled with love;
We want them to wear the whole armor;
To protect them from Satan's wile;
Ephesians 6: 10-17

We want to teach them to be filled
The fruits of the Holy Spirit:
Kindness, patience, and forgiveness,
gentleness and self-control
We need to be their light in this darkened world.
God's wisdom unfurled.
Galatians 5:22-2

Psalms 127:5:
“Blessed is the man whose quiver if full..”

I am a grandparent.
