Get Rid Of The Advertisements

That Night

Somehow
the moon's glow looked brighter that night
as the stars twinkled,
more silvery than white.

Perhaps
it was staged for lovers who just might
surrender to the moment
their sweet appetite.

The soft
touch of the breeze spoke only to romance
as the fireflies mesmerized
us with their dance.

On a night
such as this not one ingredient was askance,
desire and carnal waves,
swept up in a glance.

I remember
such nights, way back in my life's history,
succumbing to unwrapping
that last mystery.

In the arbor
of attraction I find images of you and me,
it seems beauty and emotions
live in perpetuity.
