Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Pink Profusion

The Altstadt avenue today one way,
cameras click, curious tourists converge,
as graceful winds caress the springtime day.
A cherry blossom blush in multi tones,
and subtle shades; the gnarly branches merge,
as heavenly pink petals arch cobblestones.
Those blossoms, beautiful, yet so brief,
form a baldachin of beauty replete.
Creation born of nature's leitmotif,
until fragile blossoms lay in the street,
like a silky pink carpet, soft and sweet.

Every spring in Bonn Germany Altstadt - the picturesque Old Town in what used to be the German capital - the cherry blossoms take over the streets. They draw crowds of locals from Bonn as well as tourists who walk through the narrow alleys, which seem to turn into radiant pink tunnels with a cherry blossom roof. It is a breathtaking experience.
