Like A Blank Canvas

When born we're sort of like a blank canvas
The life we're dealt with paintbrush in hand
thinking it has power to make or destroy us
with a brushstroke, whatever it commands!

Soon learning God had given us each a brain
staving a hole in that theory with total dissent
Should life cast us deep into unknown terrain
our minds shall muster and erase all fear sent

Knowing now the paintbrushes are in our hands
Through time, each shall paint a life, ever grand!
