Get Rid Of The Advertisements

It's in the Kiss

Somewhere I have read
your body language;
it's clear as a bell
your roiling fervor for me
has somehow waned.
You may not be wishing me
to go straight to hell,
but not many good vibrations
have remained.

There was a time
when you thought me
quite a catch,
as you paraded me
around in front of all
your phony friends.
We looked so good together,
some said a perfect match,
but matches sometimes
burn in the end.

I'm suspiciously living
in hint city these days,
your demeanor speaks
volumes, yet you've
chosen to use
the silent ploy.
A dying romance,
as it festers,
gives off an odor
that reeks.
Guess you've decided
it's time for a brand
new boy toy.

I'll grant your wishes
and free you from
any commitment.
To keep things
would be futile
should I try.
I wonder if you
have maintained a
smidge of sentiment?
I won't know the
answer until you
kiss me goodbye.
