Dreaming Of Heaven

Dreaming Of Heaven

As I lay there sound asleep
Suddenly I felt as if I could weep
Then something touched me on the arm
At first it was cold, then it was warm

A voice spoke to me though I was asleep
It said 'I got you son, no reason to weep!
Come with me to a far away land
Don't you worry I'll have you by the hand!'

As we traveled up through the clouds
I could hear Angels singing very loud
I heard the tune 'The Old Rugged Cross'
It was then I thought of His ultimate cost

He said 'Son you are now on Holy Ground
So do yourself a favor and lay those burdens down!'
It was then that I dropped down upon my knees
And said 'Dear Lord, try and forgive me please!'

He said 'You are forgiven for what you have done!
And now your burdens are back to none
But there will be more trials and errors you see
That is the reason you'll have to come back to Me!'

He said 'Son it's time to take you back
Your family will need you back in tack!'
We headed back down as the Angel sang 'Amazing Grace'
Even though it was a dream, I never got to see His face!
