Get Rid Of The Advertisements

American Soldier

I climb up barren mountains
so strange they are to me
my gaze wanders to another place
to my home where I am free.

My hurried footsteps lead me
with comrades by my side
loving thoughts of family
keeps screaming deep inside

My mother`s sighs are with me
when daily battles start
I hear the echo of her prayers
it satisfies my heart

I m an American soldier
fighting on foreign land
my home is in America
I pray to come home again
