Only Silence Remains

Image Hosted At MyspaceGens

Dear William (Bubby) Spencer
your memory lives among us,
and your spirit still wanders,
at the Starlite poetry halls.
It is sad to loose a friend, a poet,
God called you to rest,
but only God knows why,
perhaps he knew what's best.

Just know that you’re not forgotten,
you live in those lovely words,
your poems gracing your page here,
now, only silence remains.
So until the day we shall meet again,
look on from above, your spirit
lives among us, but we miss your smile,
and your wonderful charm.

The day you left like a breeze of wind,
in those autumnal trees,
but I know, and I feel that you still with us,
your memory lives, you did not die.
Cannot let you go without saying,
that you meant so much to us,
you were a wonderful poet friend,
it is difficult to say, ‘Goodbye.’
