Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Just Staying In Touch

Dusting off memories that
have lain in repose,
seeking to reaffirm where
I have been.

Like a flickering kine-scope,
it haltingly bestows
a chance to walk that fading
history once again.

Journeys past skirted potholes
placed in my path
testing mettle and challenging
one's true resolve.

Now that I'm feeling disability's
unflinching wrath
I'll review prior sins He, alone, has
the power to absolve.

The daunting hills I've crested
to get to this point
must have prepared me
for the final climb.

I'm pretty well prepared to
allow Him to anoint
my confused old head for the
epic rise...sublime.
