The Rainbow In The Storm

Trembling with a rainbow in a cloud

After a strange and haunting storm

We see by this how fragile we are

The earth can yield its forces with a wink

And winds can wake up battle drums

A beast to marvel in its mist, but heed thy rest

The lands we occupy no man can wholly grasp

Like seeds in a wind that drift afield and land

The skies do tumble and turn where they will

And when calm restores the weary at heart

The sun will return to its glorious shine

A force to forget until the next dark sky
